POTATO EXPERIMENT
|
This potato experiment we understood, how our body twists and
turns the food.
First, the gaffer bought medium sized potato pieces. Next, the
gaffer put water in the box in which, the pieces were put in. Then, we shook
the box and we saw that the water filled with some light brown colour. After
that, our teacher gave grated pieces to us and then told us to mix them. Later,
she gave us a sewer and a glass to put the juice in.
Meanwhile, we took a straw representing our food pipe and we
took a small grated potato. For some people it was easy but, for some people it
was a little complicated.
This is similar to our human body by: when the food is in the
mouth, the teeth and the mouth twist and turn the food. After it is gone in the
food pipe it pushes it in the stomach. Next, the small intestine takes it and
passes it to the large intestine. The large intestine absorbs it.
From this activity I learnt how the digestive system works.
